Lo and Behold - I have a Blog!

Hello world!

This is the first time I have ever swerved into the trend of blogging here in blogspot. I barely have any idea of what lies ahead of me here in this labyrinthine world of virtual connections. All I know is that a dear friend of mine convinced me to get this account and after thinking out the benefits (like being resurrected from boredom and finding a place of refuge to write aside from my journals) I finally gave in.

*deep breath*

Okay. First things first. A little something about me.

I'm a first year AB English student of Ateneo de Davao University  - Ateneo's pride!

I'm a girl, though I am always mistaken for a boy due to my masculine voice and husky body frame. Yes, a sad story.

I read like I breathe! If only books could run through my veins and vessels they have long gone became my blood.

Writing is my passion and other voice. Journalism, poetry or just plainly mess around with a pen and a notebook.

I'm also into broadcasting and scriptwriting. This is where I put to use my 'well-modulated' voice and ability to talk shamelessly in front of people.

Music is also a place of my refuge. It's either I listen to it, play it (piano, guitar, flute, drums and a couple of native instruments) or horrendously destroy it by singing a couple of my most favorite songs.

I love dancing too. Jazz, ethnic, hip-hop, basic ballet - name it! As long as it involves fun while moving I'm in. I might be a bit heavy-looking but I can carry myself.

Photography and film-editing are also my hobbies. I know a rule or three on taking photos here and there. This includes moments of photojournalism. I don't own a DLSR though. I just borrow my brother's Lumix FZ5.

I'm also into sports. I had my arnis training back in high school. I could do well in badminton, volleyball, swimming and a couple of pinoy games I sometime refuse to play in fear of being burnt under the scorching heat of the sun.

I never go on those so-called gimiks. No offense to those who are into those things but for practical wallet-guarding folks like me, it's nothing but a brilliant [sarcasm intended] way to waste precious money and even more precious time.

Even though I sound dance-loving and athletic as I claim, I'm heavily asthmatic.

I love pasta and there's nothing more to add to that!

I think Juliet Capulet is heretic. [bite me Juliet]

I have a super scrupulous phobia with roaches.

Oh, yeah - I'm obsessive compulsive.

Full-blooded Mandaya and proud to be!

I'm Roman Catholic.

I love the Lord - and He loves me more.

Sometimes, I get ridiculously clumsy. Like there's this one time I fell of the stairs at a mall here in Davao! Talk about reputation-ridding fatuousness!

I have the uncanny ability to scare people - that's either with my excellence or just with my early morning face!

I'd love to share more - but I think I've written enough for now. I'll just be around.
